Library Open to Public

The Mount Gilead Public Library is now open to the public. Users must enter the library through using the doors on the first (parking lot) level. Parking Lot Pickups are still available, if you prefer.

Staff has been working hard to prepare the library for opening under the advisement of local and state health guidelines. Things will look a little different as many of the furniture pieces have been stored and safeguards have been installed around circulation desks for staff safety. Please note: We are limiting the number of people who can be in the library at the same time. We ask that patrons make their visits as brief as possible.

We are only able to circulate items available at the Mount Gilead Public Library. It is unknown when interlibrary loans and Serving Every Ohio transfers will resume.

As you enter the library, please keep a few things in mind:

(1)   If you are sick, please go home.

(2)   Patrons are asked, but not required, to wear masks in the library.

(3)   Patrons are requested to maintain a 6-foot social distance from other patrons and staff.

(4)   We will be limiting the number of people in the building, so we ask that you keep your visit brief to allow more people to access the library.

Parking Lot Pickup is encouraged, especially for those with compromised immune systems.
