The Mount Gilead Public Library reopened for in-person browsing March 1st, the first time the building has been fully accessible in months.
Hours remain 10:30 am to 7:00 pm Monday through Thursday; 10:30 am to 5:00 pm Friday and Saturday; and closed Sundays. The staff will continue to provide drive-up and curbside service.
Everyone entering the library will be required to wear a mask covering both their mouth and nose. If you do not have a mask, one may be provided to you. While inside the library building, the mask must be worn properly at all times. Small children are exempt from wearing masks.
Computer usage at one of the library's workstations will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Users will be limited to one 30-minute session each day.
At this time, story times and crafting hour will remain online.
MGPL continues to follow recommendations provided by the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) by quarantining all incoming materials for 5 days. Staff will begin checking in items after the 5-day quarantine period is complete. Depending on the day and time returned, you should expect to see items removed from your account after one (1) week. If items are still showing on your account after ten days, please contact the library where you returned your materials. You may still enjoy your full borrowing period as items are backdated in our system to account for this delay.
The Library is currently unable to accept donations of materials due to COVID-19. Please do not place donations into book drops at this time.
